You might think fresh, market-bought cooking oil is safe, but many of these oils contain hidden chemicals, preservatives, and unbalanced nutrients like excessive omega-6 fatty acids, which can harm your health. Even cold-pressed oils, while better, still come with impurities that need to be addressed. Oilgenie Purifier ensures that whether you’re using store-bought or cold-pressed oil, every drop is free of harmful substances, balanced in nutrients, and perfect for your kitchen.
Almost all the cooking oils used in Indian kitchens can be purified except Palm oil as it will get condensed after it becomes cold once heated.
As to filter fresh market bought/ cold press oil’s purification, we can purify up to 2.5 to 3 liters with every 250 grams of filter media and shall be discarded. In case of used oil we can purify up to 3 liters only.(but with fresh 250 grams of filter media.
No, we need to change the filter media for every type of oil, as the density of each oil is different.
We recommend to purify 2.5 to 3 liters of oil every time and it should be done at the same time totally ( we cannot give a gap of two to three days also) as the filter media becomes hard like cement also, the filter media will lose its effectiveness if we keep it in same container and used for one two weeks, Once all the 3 liters are purified discard the filter media and keep the filtered oil in a separate container and use the same for cooking. The economics also will be working out on the investment you made on the filter media
Note: As the filter capacity is 2 liters, you need to put first 2 liters and once the oil is getting filtered you can fill in another 1 liter making it total 3 liters at a time and remove the filtered oil in the below chamber as it may overflow. For filtering 3 liters.
Is almost nothing you are going to lose for example while you are purifying 3 liters of fresh market bought oil, 50 grams of oil will be stuck in the filter media as it will get wet during the process and in the process. (That oil also will come down once you leave it for more time) So, almost no wastage at all you can say.

Anything below 24-25 TPM is allowed by Food control board.
Once the oil is filtered with our filter media the TPM levels will be reduced to anywhere between 3 to 4 % which is the best part of our filter media.
No. The density and other parameters of the cooking oil will remain the same and the odor will be removed. Only the unwanted chemicals and impurities will be neutralized.
As with every 1 kg of filter media you will be allowed to filter up to 12 liters of one type of oil and as the filter media costing you @ Rs.300/- per Kg, so the cost per liter filtration will cost Rs.25/- extra to be added for which ever oil you buy either packet or cold pressed oil for every individual.
As the filter works on gravitational concept and no electricity is needed, ( it’s almost like a coffee filter working) as long as there is a weigh of the oil in the upper jar, the filtration process will be fast, but once the oil reduces in the upper jar the process will be slowed down so the process of filtration will take time.
